Pediatric General Surgeon

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pediatric Surgeon to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery. The position offers an opportunity to work alongside six experienced colleagues, mentor general surgery residents, and contribute to a robust research program. The role requires advanced minimally invasive surgical skills and a commitment to patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert surgical care to pediatric patients, including advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to program growth.
  • Teach and mentor rotating general surgery residents, fostering their development in pediatric surgery.
  • Contribute to research and academic activities to elevate the division’s academic profile.
Qualifications
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Surgeon.
  • Early or mid‑career candidates are encouraged to apply.
